Kyle Lierman

Kyle Lierman is the Founder and CEO of Civic Advisors. Previously, Kyle was a Senior Associate Director of Public Engagement and Senior Policy Advisor in the Obama White House. During his six years at the White House, Kyle served as the liaison to athletes and leaders from the sports world, as well as to young Americans, education leaders, and the non-profit and philanthropic communities. Kyle launched and led the “It’s On Us” sexual assault prevention campaign, and spearheaded several other successful public/private partnership efforts, including the launch of Michelle Obama’s “Better Make Room” campaign. Before joining the White House, Kyle was the GOTV director in Louisiana in 2010 for Organizing for America, ran for State Delegate in his hometown of Bethesda, MD, and served as a Special Assistant on the Obama-Biden transition team. Kyle is a proud graduate of George Washington University where he majored in business.

Stephanie Young

Stephanie has over 12 years of strategic communications experience ranging from television networks, political campaigns, House Democratic Leadership and the Obama White House. Stephanie currently serves as the Managing Director at Civic Advisors and as the Communications Director for When We All Vote. Additionally, she leads strategy and partnerships for NBC Universal Cable Entertainment’s Erase the Hate campaign.

Most recently Stephanie was the Director of Corporate Communications at BET Networks, a Viacom Company. During her time in the Obama Administration, Stephanie had the unique opportunity of serving in two critical roles as the Associate Communications Director and then as the Senior Public Engagement Advisor in the Office of Public Engagement.

Prior to her White House stint, she worked on Capitol Hill as the National Press Secretary for Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and Communications Director for the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC).

Stephanie resides in Brooklyn, NY.

Jonathan Lee

Jonathan is the Chief of Staff for Civic Advisors. Previously, Jonathan was the Deputy Director of Ambassador Outreach for When We All Vote, where he helped develop and manage the campaign’s support from artists, athletes, and influencers during the 2018 midterms.

Jonathan served briefly during the Obama-Trump transition, facilitating all events within The White House. Before his work with the Presidential Transition, Jonathan was the Associate Director for Event Arrangements in the Obama White House Social Office, where he worked with Senior White House Staff, State Department Staff, Secret Service, and the Executive Residence on organizing and executing State Dinners, Presidential receptions, special concerts, and other in-house Presidential events.

Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park and hails from Potomac, Maryland.

Kaela Landon

Kaela is the Assistant Director of Operations at Civic Advisors. Kaela landed a finance internship at the Clinton Foundation after taking a Government and Not-for-Profit course in college that sparked her desire to use her education for social impact and justice. She also worked in marketing at Ernst & Young during their 2013 rebranding. During college Kaela was a student member of G.L.O.B.E. (Giving Loan Opportunities to Budding Entrepreneurs), a premier class that worked with borrowers around the world offering microfinance loans in efforts to alleviate poverty.

Kaela is a proud DMV native and a graduate of the Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University where she received her BS and MBA with a concentration in Accounting.

Halley Rogers

Halley is an Assistant Director at Civic Advisors. She specializes in social media management, video, and podcast production. Previously, Halley worked for the Delegation of the European Union, the U.S. Senate, and Ogilvy, a global advertising agency.

She's a two-time graduate of The George Washington University, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Political Communication and her Master’s in Media and Strategic Communication.

Alex Vassiliadis


Alexander Vassiliadis is an Assistant Director at Civic Advisors. Previously, Alex operated as a digital fellow for It’s On Us and Civic Advisors, advising the IOU executive director on digital rollouts, fundraising campaigns, and engagement strategy.

Before his fellowship, Alex was the co-founder and director of media and outreach for the 2016 Mental Illness Awareness Tour. A NAMI endorsed initiative, the 2016 MIA Tour consisted of a 48-state, 75-day road-trip to raise mental health awareness and battle the stigma surrounding mental wellness.

Alex graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a Bachelors of Science in Media and Cinema Studies.

Brenna Parker

Brenna is an Assistant Director at Civic Advisors. Previously, Brenna was a Deputy Director of Outreach for David Blair, candidate for County Executive in Montgomery County, Maryland.

She has managed social media accounts for the Families Belong Together coalition, National Domestic Workers Alliance, and managed digital operations and social media for the College Promise Campaign. She's collaborated on projects around free speech on college campuses for organizations such as the Newseum Institute, Knight Foundation, and Poynter Institute. Brenna is a board member to the U.S. National Commission to UNESCO and is passionate about mentorship and improving access to higher education.

Brenna is a proud graduate of Kent State University where she majored in public relations and visual journalism.

Samuel Blackwood


Samuel Blackwood is a fellow at Civic Advisors. Previously, Samuel worked as a Press Assistant on the When We All Vote campaign, aiding in the execution of the campaign’s communications strategies.

Before When We All Vote, Samuel was a policy intern for Ms. Angela Rye’s government relations firm, Impact Strategies. While there, he led a cohort of interns to develop and produce grassroots policy initiatives related to the advancement of the black community.

As a grassroots activist, Samuel lead the campaign for greater trans-inclusivity at his university, organized the largest gathering of young people of color on climate change in the country, and started a mental health program that seeks to address and raise awareness of the disproportionate mental health struggles of people in marginalized communities.

Samuel is pursuing a B.A. in International Studies from Fordham University and expects to graduate May 2019.

Adam Lattimore


Adam is a Civic Advisors Fellow and has been working with the organization since September of 2018. Adam recently assisted the When We All Vote states team in their effort to have over 2500 grassroots voter registration drives take place across the country and built peer-to-peer texting campaigns that reached 3.4 million potential voters.

Previously, Adam served as the Volunteer & Internship Coordinator for ArtsQuest, one of the largest arts and cultural nonprofits in the state of Pennsylvania. In this role, Adam managed a volunteer base of 5,000 dedicated community members, built partnerships with colleges and universities, and played a key role in executing the country's largest free music festival.

Adam is originally from Connecticut and is currently pursuing his masters in public administration at American University.
