Shelly is the founder of The Ambition Group (TAG).  Previously, Shelly served as a Policy Advisor for the Office of Public Engagement for President Barack Obama. Shelly helped lead efforts concerning criminal justice reform and issues related to the African-American community. Prior to her role with the Administration, Shelly worked as an aid for Senator Gillibrand of New York.  Shelly has a B.A. in Political Science and Criminology from the University of South Florida and is a native of Kissimmee, Florida.

TAG is a strategy, policy, and community engagement firm committed to empowering America’s next generation of leaders to be social change agents.
