Digital Intern, Civic Advisors
Location: Washington, DC
Civic Advisors is a social impact strategy and consulting firm made up of a team and network of Obama-Biden White House and campaign alumni. Civic Advisors works with clients trying to make an impact, including mission driven companies, non-profits, education institutions, philanthropic organizations, and sports and entertainment leaders across the United States.
Civic Advisors’ Fellows provide essential support to staff members and are integral members of the team.
The Digital Intern will support the digital team by working in various aspects of digital strategy - including social media management, content creation, web development, and podcast production. Projects range from assisting staff with research, scheduling, memo writing, social media monitoring, and graphic designing.
The Digital Intern will work hand-in-hand with the Civic Advisors team to provide support as the business strengthens and grows. This requires strong writing skills for drafting and editing reports and digital content, a positive personality to support relationship management efforts, strong attention to detail for managing spreadsheets, data, and projects, and the ability to multitask. The Digital Intern is also responsible for monitoring digital trends and for using this information to improve Civic Advisors and its clients’ strategies.
This is a three-month internship experience. The position is full-time, compensated, and based in Washington, DC.
Assist in digital content creation and general ideas for campaign materials such graphics and social media toolkits.
Interest and/or experience in digital programs and software is highly preferred.
Interest in civic engagement and digital strategy is preferred.
Experience with Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro ) & Canva is preferred, but not required.
Experience with social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, IG) is strongly preferred.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to take initiative as a self-starter.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized.
This is a three-month. The position is full-time and based in Washington, DC.
